Post this civil code sign on your property to inform individuals that they are trespassing if they enter or try to inhabit the property. Prevent others from trying to infringe on your real estate property rights by clearly informing them that they are not allowed on the land unless given explicit written permission. A must for California absentee property owners.
California Code States:
Civil Code Section 1008 provides that “no use by any person or persons, no matter how long continued, of any land, shall ever ripen into an easement by prescription. "
This notice must be posted at each entrance to the property or at intervals of not more than 200 feet along the boundary. A better practice is to post both at entrances and at 200-foot intervals. The owner should maintain records of the postings, including dates and digital photographs.
Please check with your local laws for compliance & regulations.
